Lindsay Ell Parts With Stoney Creek Records, Starts New Journey With New Music

After releasing three albums with Stoney Creek, “Criminal” hit-making Lindsay Ell has starts her next chapter with new single “Sweet Spot.”

One of country music’s most talented singer/songwriters and guitarists, Lindsay Ell, has parted ways with her record label home of over 11 years, Stoney Creek Records/BMG Nashville, to enter the world as an independent artist as she works on her next career chapter and her own life in general. The 34 year old announced the departure via instagram where she also revealed she’s been dealing with a devastating illness with an eating disorder.

She says: “I’m 34, Left my recording deal of 11 years, 1 week ago. Started recovery from an eating disorder two months ago. Have a successful touring career around the world.” Lindsay Continues, “Still feel like I’m just beginning. Still Trying to put the pieces together. Still trying to find my place. And that’s OK.”

The award-winning musician with three albums and several hits under her belt in her native Canada will support Shania Twain on her upcoming Queen Of Me tour.

“Sweet Spot” is available at all DSPs now and it showcases what Lindsay Ell has always been fantastic at, making emotive music that isn’t dissimilar from the music her hero (and now) touring parter Shania Twain has made her career on.
