Shania Twain Releases New Single “Giddy Up!” Today

Latest single from forthcoming “Queen Of Me” also premieres what fans can expect on this spring’s “Queen of Me Tour.”

The best-selling female artist in country music history, Shania Twain, today shared “Giddy Up!,” her brand-new single from the forthcoming album Queen Of Me. The album, set to be released February 3, 2023, is the sixth full-length album of Shania’s career and her first since 2017 AND the first album released by new label partner Republic Nashville, a division of Republic Records.

Kickstarting the album, “Giddy Up!” features a lot of the hallmarks of a great Shania Twain song with a finery, flirty and fun chorus tailor made for singing and dancing along to at home, in your car or at a concert. It showcases Shania Twain at her best.

“The saying “Let’s Go Girls!” is such a wonderfully uplifting sentiment now,” says Shania. But it’s just something I said during the recording in the studio and I guess that’s the same for “Giddy Up!”. These lines come to me when I’m thinking about how to put a little “pep in my step.” I want people to feel good when they hear the new album. I want to set a celebratory tone and “Giddy up!” is a way to call to the audience and say “let's get ready for some fun!”

Queen of Me consists of 12 new tracks, from the energetic new single opening the album to the passionate finale, “The Hardest Stone,” produced by and featuring Tyler Joseph (Twenty One Pilots), the album represents a dynamic creative statement from one of the biggest icons in all of musuc. The album was preceded by the single “Waking Up Dreaming.”
