It was the stuff movie scenes are made of as David Adam Byrnes, the man behind 6 #1s on the Texas Music Charts, proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Amanda while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in late July.
The couple first met when David rented Amanda’s grandpa’s old home in Texas upon his move there in 2019. Neighbors tried to introduce them several times to no avail before she finally went to one of his shows. David says, “you always hear about love at first sight…well, I knew there was something there, day one.”
They made their relationship official in 2021 and they planned a trip to Cabo San Lucas around Amanda’s birthday for a much-needed getaway for the busy couple as she’s been working as a critical nurse on the COVID unit while David’s been tireless in his rise up the Texas Music Scene through his string of hits.
“I couldn’t think of a more intimate and perfect place to ask Amanda to spend the rest of her life with me. Everything about the moment and the location was beautiful and perfect. I am so thankful our friend Sue was able to capture the moment to absolute perfection.”
On that day, July 25, 2022, she said yes.
The couple will get married on October 7th, 2023 in Granary, Texas, the town where it all began.
