Fresh off the heels of the chart-topping success of his impactful debut single, “My Boy,” Elvie Shane today announced that he has signed a worldwide publishing agreement (for his songs) with Rome Phrey Publishing and Warner Chappell Music (WCM).
The deal comes the very same week that “My Boy” topped the charts at both Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase with his full-length debut album, Backslider, to be released in less than two week (October 29, 2021).
Ben Vaughn, President & CEO, WCM Nashville said: “When you meet Elvie you understand that he has a voice, a point of view, and he can write songs that make you feel something. He’s carving his own path, and his honest and powerful storytelling is really resonating with fans. We’re grateful to be working with R.J. and Lisa to support this talented songwriter.”
R.J. Romeo, Co-Owner, Rome Phrey Publishing, added: “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Ben, Will [Overton], and the entire WCM team. Elvie is an amazingly talented singer/songwriter who has only just begun to tell his story. By partnering with a team that shares our enthusiasm and passion for Elvie’s talents I’m confident that Elvie will continue to write meaningful music that will speak to his fans and touch millions of people all over the world.”
Shane added: “Songwriting is at the core of everything I do as an artist. I come from a place full of hard working Blue Collar Americans. I’m so proud to join a team of fellow storytellers that care about those folks as much as I do. I love songwriters and this crew is a passionate one. So excited to see what this new creative team adds to my music.”
It’s been a whirlwind past couple of years for the Kentucky-native. Elvie Shane has made his way from hard-working local artist to buzz worthy indie artist to major label country music artist in only a few short years and he’s recently toured with Brooks & Dunn and opened for Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean, among others. Elvie is signed to UTA for tour booking and managed by Brian Wolf and Clarence Spalding of Maverick.
