Top 10 Country Album Sales Chart: January 8, 2019

Blake Shelton leads the post-holiday sales chart with his third greatest hits collection (which really is a new EP with other hits added to it). See where the top albums (in pure sales) landed this week!

For the third week in three tries, Blake Shelton sits at #1 with Fully Loaded: God's Country and timing it for sales to be at the holiday season worked well as the album has scanned 113k to date and on the total consumption Billboard 200 chart, it's approaching Platinum with total activity over 900k to date. At #2 is Luke Combs What You See Is What You Get. The album has scanned nearly 200k to date while Jason Aldean's 9 is at #3 with sales of nearly 112k to date. At #4 is Chris Stapleton's debut album Traveller (he's now working on his 4th, to be released later in 2020 or in early 2021) while Miranda Lambert's Wildcard is at #5.

Lady Antebellum's Ocean, their first for Big Machine Recordsis at #6 with Garth Brooks multi-disc Legacy bundle of vinyl albums at #7 while Old Dominion's self-titled album is at #8. The Highwomen's self-titled album is at #9 while Luke Comb's first album This One's For You is at #10.  Notables include Tyler Childers, Jon Pardi, Maren Morris, Hootie & The Blowfish (Darius Rucker), Zac Brown Band, Tanya Tucker, Morgan Wallen and many more.     some of those albums have been out for over 1800 days as for example Traveller by Chris Stapleton has been charting for 1701 days or 4 months short of 5 years while for example Adele's 21 has been charting since it's release nearly 9 years ago and only a few weeks from reaching that in Europe/UK the album sells about 50 k units a year in the UK and has sold 5.275.000 copies in the UK since release the top selling album by a female artist ever the UK implemented their version of soundscan for the chart week ending February 1st 1994 though The OCC credits the Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band released May 26th 1967 as the top selling studio album ever with 5.34 million copies the best selling album in the UK overall is Queen's Greatest Hits Volume 1 selling 6.480 million or nearly 22x platinum in the UK
