Top 10 Country Album Sales Chart: September 4, 2019

Check out this week's rundown of the Top 10 best-sellers in pure album sales.

Midland debuts at #1 with their sophomore album Let It Roll. The album sold over 16,000 copies in its first week. The second album on this chart is Tanya Tucker's While I'm Livin'. It's her first all-new album release in a dozen years and she out sold Vince Gill's Okie by 300 copies. At #4 is Luke Combs' This One's For You, his debut album. The #5 album is Chris Stapleton's Traveller, his first album with sales now well over 2.5 million copies sold.

Tyler Childers' Country Squire sits at #6 with sales over 32,000 while Carrie Underwood is close to 500,000 copies sold over her album Cry Pretty while Kacey Musgraves is at #8 with Golden Hour and Justion Moore's Late Nights and Longnecks sits at #9 and Josh Turner's I Serve A Savior is at #10.

Other newcomers this week include Ty Herndon, David Wax Museum, Dalton Domino, Kevin Fowler, SMO, Dylan Schneider and Who TF is Justin Tyme? (yes, that's their actual name).

    Carrie Underwood's album will hit 500,000 sold on next weeks chart it's 50th week charting her slowest to reach that level while her fastest to do so was 2007's Carnival Ride which did so in it's first week charting selling 527,101 in it's opening week granted other artists have had several albums debut with more than 500,000 copies sold in their first week Taylor Swift for example has had six of her 7 studio albums debut with 590K or more sold in their first week Fearless opened with 592,000 in 2008 Speak Now Opened with 1,046,718 in 2010 Red opened with 1,208,300 in November of 2012 1989 debuted with 1,286,544 copies it's first week Taylor's largest opening to date Reputation opened with 1,216,416 in it's first week and Lover Opened with 679,000 and 867,000 with streaming considered granted RIAA generally wait a minimum of 4 weeks after release to certify an album and Taylor's old label may apply for re certifications for some of her catalog albums such as 1989 for diamond Self Titled or Red for 8 x platinum Reputation for 4 x platinum etc
