Thomas Rhett “Life Changes” Certified Gold

Country star surprised with RIAA Gold certification while celebrating #1 hits “Unforgettable” and “Craving You,” both RIAA certified hits from the album released in 2017.

To say that Thomas Rhett has been in a groove would be an understatement as the second-generation country star has exceeded any and all expectations he had for himself to become one of country music’s biggest stars. Recently in Nashville, Thomas Rhett got together with the songwriters behind “Craving You” (Dave Barnes & Julian Bunetta) and “Unforgettable” (Ashley Gorley, Shane McAnally, & Bunetta) to toast those Platinum and Gold single’s chart-topping success, respectively. During the ceremony, Thomas Rhett was honored with a pair of RIAA Gold certifications; One for current hit “Marry Me” and one for the six-month-old album which houses all three hits: Life Changes.

Next week, Thomas Rhett will be honored as a CMA Triple Play Award recipient. The award honors songwriters who write three #1 songs in a 12 month period (in his case for “Die A Happy Man,” “Star Of The Show” and Michael Ray’s “Think A Little Less”). An ACM and iHeartRadio Music Awards winner, Thomas Rhett is set to defend his Country Artist of the Year award from the latter award program along with competing in the Country Song of the Year category with “Unforgettable.”

congrats though some of that gold for the album came from streaming of the songs being counted towards certifications as has been the case since February 1st 2016. the one for the album doesn't show up in RIAA's searchable database yet kind of like the updated certifications Metallica received in December 2017 for And Justice For All 9 x Platinum and self titled 17 x platinum
