Walker Hayes Scores First Gold Record “With You Broke Up With Me”

Rising singer/songwriter is set to release “boom.” next week.

It seems everything is golden in Walker Hayes’ life these days as the silky, sing-a-long inducing “You Broke Up With Me” has been certified Gold by the RIAA. This means that Walker Hayes, who will release his Monument Records debut boom. on 12/8/2017, has accumulated more than 500,0000 combined units of streams and sales to solidify the RIAA Gold certification.

"It is hard to describe how it feels. A Gold record," says Hayes, "I am so grateful for the support from everyone who made this happen. I appreciate all the people who got on board with this project and this song. I'm so honored to have 'You Broke Up With Me' go Gold."

Hayes, who has long been a favorite songwriter amongst other songwriters in Nashville for his unique turns of phrase and melodies, is finally scoring with audiences with “You Broke Up With Me,” a song which has broken into the Top 20 while he’s been opening up shows in 2017 for Thomas Rhett on his Home Team Tour and will join Kelsea Ballerini’s Unapologetically Tour in 2018.
