Chase Rice Signs With BBR Music Group

"Ready Set Roll" Singer is latest addition to the Broken Bow Records imprint for the BMG Owned indie label.

While the Broken Bow Records imprint has been working on streamlining its label roster (it was down to Jason Aldean and Dustin Lynch), Chase Rice was looking for a new label home. Today, it was announced that they would be working together and that also means new music is about to arrive for fans.

Rice, who co-wrote “Cruise” with Florida Georgia Line while both acts were still struggling, independent artists, scored a hit album in 2014 with Ignite The Night through his own imprint Dark Janiels in partnership with Columbia Records Nashville. The album featured the Top 5 hits “Ready Set Roll” and “Gonna Wanna Tonight” while also selling close to 900k albums to date. The partnership was for only that one album and when he became a free agent again, Chase was looking for a label that was right for him, one with an indie spirit.

“I can’t tell you how excited I am to join the BBR family,” Rice said. “I knew from the moment we began talking that the people here understand where I’m coming from, and I can’t wait to share all the new songs we’re about to make together. In fact, we’re so excited, we promise we’ll have new music for you within a month.”

The choice also boiled down to how well BBR Music Group was at working with formerly independent artists like Aldean, Lynch, Randy Houser and Granger Smith.

“Chase has a track record of connecting with fans whether it is socials, concert tickets, singles, or album sales,” said Jon Loba, EVP BBR Music Group. “He knows himself and his audience and has formed a rabid following. We are so excited to have him join our family and can’t wait for everyone to hear some incredible new music.”

Look for new music from Chase Rice on Broken Bow Records soon.
