The 52nd ACM Awards Nominations Announced

The pictured Keith Urban leads the way with this year's nominees for the 2017 edition of the west coast-based country award show!

Keith Urban leads the way this year with seven nominations. Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris each have six nominations while Florida Georgia Line and Tim McGraw have five. Dierks Bentley, Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton each scored three nominations.

The categories generally were filled as expected but the Entertainer of the Year category is surprisingly absent Garth Brooks, Eric Church and Kenny Chesney and it may be time for the ACM (and the CMA) to expand that specific category on a rolling basis based on merit of artists that year. However that’s sliced, it is nice to see Carrie Underwood up for the award after her great year and tour.
