it's funny that Old Dominions album Meat & Candy has sold less than 200 k yet it's certified Gold due to streaming being included for Album certs since last February yet Tim McGraw's album Damn Country Music for example has sold 4.6% more at nearly 240 k and isn't certified yet though it's second single Humble and Kind won the C.M.A. award for song of the year last month his 2nd song to do so Live Like You Were Dying did in 2004 billboard Country single of the year is a different thing completely he won that in 1997 1998 and 2004 for It's Your Love Just To See You Smile and Live Like You Were Dying respectively

Simply a matter of who is buying/streaming albums. Old Dominion has captured fans who listen to more than "just" country music. Which is awesome. I'd hope they'd be a gateway to artists like Tim and William Michael Morgan but we still will have to see there.
