Billy Currington Scores 11th #1 Hit on Billboard

“It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To” comes from his 6th album “Summer Forever.”

It’s hard enough for an artist to score a #1 hit but Billy Currington has been lucky enough to score 11 of them.

“I am so excited and proud that “It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To” is my 11th No. 1 hit – Lucky Number 11!, “ states Billy. “It’s a song that I wrote and to be honest, was not sure if it should be a single or not. You never want to put out a single just because you wrote it. I always want to just put out the best song whether I wrote it or not. This time though, my team kept talking about it and we could all feel the reaction live. I want to thank my fans, my team, radio and my co-writers Shy Carter and Cary Barlowe, as I couldn’t have done it without all of you,” elaborates Billy.

The multiple ACM, CMT And Grammy award nominee has four Platinum singles, three Gold singles a pair of Gold albums and one Platinum project amongst his six albums and 18 hit singles. Of his 18 hits, only 5 of them have not hit the Top 10 of the charts.

The star will release one more single from the Summer Forever album. Previous hits include "Don't" and "Drinking Town With A Football Problem."

There are some errors here. "We are Tonight" is his 5th album, his 6th is called "Summer Forever". "Don't it" is the other single off of "Summer Forever", you're probably thinking of his other single "Don't". Also "Don't" wasn't a number 1 hit it was number 2 so he really only has 10 #1 hits according to billboard.

The #1 numbers came from the PR piece. Also, Roughstock Recognizes BOTH Mediabase (and Radio & Records before it) and Billboard just like the labels do.
