Country Music's Most Wanted Singles: January 4, 2015

Country music's annual two week break (or "freeze") is over as they get back to work with the business of making hits. See our first look at what new songs radio is loving here!

Cole Swindell leads this week's rundown of the hottest new singles at country radio with "You Should Be Here," his personal single about his late father. The relatable song scored 76 mediabase monitored stations joining the playlist parade with the lead single from Swindell's sophomore album. The song went for radio playlist adds today. The #2 single, Old Dominion's second RCA Nashville single "Snapback," now has 100 stations on board all before the official add date of 1/11/16 (next Monday). Not bad for a sophomore single from a brand new artist. Radio seems to have made the band a staple already.  Newcomer Drew Baldridge, who scored SiriusXM "On The Horizon" airplay with "Dance With Ya" is next with his debut for Cold River Records scoring 24 adds in its first week. The singer released an album last fall via his publisher THiS Music/Warner Chappell Music which lead to his signing with Cold River. At #4 is Michael Ray's "Real Men Love Jesus," a Top 40 hit which has now scored nearly all of the monitored Mediabase stations out there. At #5 is a tie between Carrie Underwood's "Heartbeat" and newcomer Chris Lane's "Fix." Lane -- one of our ones to watch for 2015 -- is finally getting off the ground with "Fix," the debut single for the Big Loud Records label while Underwood's follow-up to "Smoke Break" is on 153 or 157 station playlists.

Florida Georgia Line, who share a management and publishing team with Chris Lane, are at #7 with "Confession," their 'bro-breaking' single, the fourth from sophomore album Anything Goes. The duo is joined in the second half of our weekly rundown by Brett Eldredge's "Drunk On Your Love" at #8 with #Livin' The Dream" from Drake White and Maren Morris' "My Church" tied at #9 with 5 new station adds this week. Morris' single hasn't even gone for offical radio adds yet, always a good sign for a newcomer.
