Exclusive: Behind The Scenes with Josh Thompson

Go behind the scenes with the hitmaking singer/songwriter as he shares his stories about three new tracks!

Josh Thompson's Change album was set to come out a couple of years ago but in the midst of it all he parted ways with his old label before it could hit stores. Now, working with ole' Digital, Josh has resurrected the album from the dusty shelves of the old record company and has decided to issue the album as two EPs. The first EP, Change: The Lost Record, Part One hits stores tomorrow. To promote the record, we've partnered with Josh to share three behind the scenes videos where you'll get the story behind how he created and recorded "Change," "Gotta Get To Heaven" and "Livin' Like Hank" (See below for all 3).

After parting ways with his label, Josh held the songs close, all while waiting for the right moment to share the music with fans across the country. A prolific songwriter, Thompson is co-writer on all of the songs from his upcoming projects along with having songs recorded by Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Gary Allan, Joe Nichols and Darius Rucker.

Originally from Cedarburg, WI, Thompson moved to Nashville in 2005, scoring a major-label deal in 2009. He released his first full-length album, Way Out Here, the following year, reaching the Top 10 on Billboard US Top Country Albums chart. In 2012, he signed with Show Dog-Universal Music and released his second full-length, Turn It Up, in 2014, which also reached the country Top 10. Thompson has previously released five Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart including “Way Out Here,” “Beer on the Table,” and “Won’t Be Lonely Long.”
