Josh Thompson Inks New Deal With ole Digital

The talented singer/songwriter will issue "Change: The Lost Record" in two different digital EPs later this year.

Josh Thompson is soon to be back in the mix with new music thanks to a new deal he has inked with ole Digital, a division of ole, the world's fastest growing independent rights management company.

The company has signed a deal with Thompson that will give ole digital distribution and digital video admin rights to new master and live recordings from the singer. The masters will be compiled into two EPs, Change: The Lost Record, Volumes 1 and 2, which will be released by ole. ole will also retain publishing rights to Thompson's catalog via their 2013 acquisition of the Better Angels Music Publishing Group. Thompson has previously released five Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart - including "Way Out Here," "Beer on the Table," and "Won't Be Lonely Long" - as well as the hit song "Change."

"Josh is a truly gifted songwriter and performer who has taken Nashville by storm," says John Ozier, General Manager of Creative in Nashville for ole. "These new recordings are some of his best work by far, and we're excited to bring them under the ole banner."

"ole is one of the biggest names on Music Row, but more importantly, they're dedicated to music above all else," adds Thompson. "I know that they will do everything in their power to find my songs the audience they deserve, and I'm looking forward to working with them."

Thompson released his first full-length album, Way Out Here, in 2006. In 2012, he signed with Show Dog-Universal Music and released his second full-length, Turn It Up, in 2014. In addition to his own music, Thompson has written songs for the likes of Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, James Wesley, Jason Michael Carol, and many more. He has also hit the road with Eric Church and Paisley.
