Kellie Pickler Performs For Breast Cancer Awarness

Superstar vocalist/songwriter has personal connection to cause.

To help kick off Breast Cancer Awareness in the NFL, country singer/songwriter Kellie Pickler delivered the halftime performance last Sunday, October 5th during the NFL game in Charlotte, NC between the Carolina Panthers and the Chicago Bears.

The performance was during the “A Crucial Catch” halftime show and was presented by Belk. Pickler was joined by 150 Breast Cancer Survivors and those who have been affected by the disease. Her best friend, Summer Miller, is a cancer survivor who joined pickler and the NFL in celebrating life by taking on the honored role of the “Keep Pounding” drummer for the game, which took place right before kickoff.

The performance was the second Breast Cancer Awareness event of the week for Pickler, who performed at the September 30, 2014 “Eat. Drink. Party Pink” event in Nashville, an event sponsored by Athena featuring fellow Athena Warrior Amy Grant.

Finally, Kellie Pickler has released a limited edition of her album “The Woman I Am” on pink vinyl, also on September 30, 2014, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. A portion of the proceeds from those albums sold will go to Gilda’s Club, a community organization for people living with cancer, their family and friends.
