Top 10 Most-Added New Singles For July 21, 2014

This week’s Most-Added song list includes superstars like Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Rascal Flatts and Jason Aldean along with newcomers Dean Alexander, Canaan Smith, Lucy Hale and Raelynn. But as good as each of these singles did with radio programmers this week, they couldn’t topple Madde & Tae who scored the #1 most-added song on Country Aircheck with 32 Adds this week. Their two week total is now 49 (with 2 others at Billboard-only stations). Impressive. Transformative? No but a great start.

Other artists in the Top 5 are Dean Alexander with his debut single “Live A Little,” The catchy tune is already a fan favorite at SiriusXM’s “The Highway” and it’s certainly off to a great start at Country radio. Luke Bryan’s Top 30 hit “Roller Coaster” scores 25 more adds to its list and as he’s a top star of Radio and Touring with a string of chart-topping hits, it’s safe to say Luke’s well on his way to another hit. At #4 this week is Brett Eldredge with “Mean To Me,” the follow-up single to the Gold-certified #1 hits “Don’t Ya” and “Beat Of The Music.” Rounding out the Top 5 is Canaan Smith with “Love You Like That,” a single which reminds us a lot of Cole Swindell’s “Hope You Ain’t Lonely Tonight” in melody and vocal delivery.

Outside the Top 5, we find FGL at #6 with “Dirt” (which basically means every Mainstream country station in the USA now plays “Dirt), Lucy Hale’s “Lie A Little Better” at #7, Jason Aldean’s mostly-unheard single “Burnin’ It Down,” Rascal Flatts Howard Benson-produced rocker “Payback” and RaeLynn’s “God Made Girls” rounds out the Top 10.
