Country Music's Top 10 Albums: The Week Of June 25, 2014

Willie Nelson did something this week -- with his latest album Band Of Brothers -- that he hasn't done in 28 years! Find out what he did here!

Willie Nelson scores 12th Solo and 15th over-all #1 Country album with “Band Of Brothers.”

Not Only is “Band Of Brothers” his 12th solo #1 album, it’s also Willie Nelson’s highest charting all-genre album on the Top 200 Albums chart, hitting the Top 5 for the first time. Last year’s “To All The Girls…” was his previous chart-topper. Also, “Band Of Brothers” is his 47th Top 10 album (in Country Music) and his highest-charting album since 1986’s “The Promiseland” hit #1. Miranda Lambert’s “Platinum” remains #2 and has sold 276k to date. Brantley Gilbert is #3 and has the #10 overall album (giving country 30% of the Top 10) and has sold 391k to date. Luke Bryan’s “Crash My Party” is next with sales now at nearly two million copies (it’s already certified Double Platinum). at #5 is Florida Georgia Line with “Here’s To The Good Times.”

Blake Shelton “Based On A True Story” & Dierks Bentley “Riser” inside Top 10 thanks to Father’s Day Sales.

The rest of the Top 10 includes albums that were all part of the very same chart last week. Starting with the “Now That’s What I Call Country Music!” series’ seventh edition. Eric Church’s “The Outsiders” is next with sales at 10k. It is the year’s best-selling Country album to date, Blake Shelton is at #8 with Rascal Flatts at #9 and Big Smo at #10 with “Kuntry Livin’.” This gives country music ¼ of the Top 40 albums.

Notable albums include Hunter Hayes’ “Storyline,” Cole Swindell’s self-titled debut and more.

Dierks Bentley’s “Riser” continues to sell nicely giving him 172k albums sold while Coe Swindell has sold nearly 190k in 18 weeks on the charts with his self-titled debut. Next up is Kacey Musgraves album “Same Trailer Different Park” while Hunter Hayes has sold 5,000 copies of “Storyline.” Finally, we make note of Dan+Shay’s return to the Top 200 album chart this week and update how many copies “Where It All Began” sold this week.
