Trace Adkins Enters Rehab After Altercation on Cruise Ship

Trace Adkins is an artist admired by many for his honesty and truth in both his life and his lyrics so it was a little surprise that we learned the star had voluntarily checked himself into rehab after falling off of the wagon after 12 years of sobriety. Condolences going out to the family of Trace Adkins, as the singer has entered into rehab for alcohol abuse after the star recently fell off the wagon.

The singer and actor was aboard the Country Cruising cruise when he apparently got into an altercation with a Trace Adkins impersonator who was singing karaoke in one of the ship's bars. It is unclear of events that happened, but a fight broke out between the two men, and when the ship docked in Jamaica, Adkins reportedly exited the ship and checked him into a rehab facility.

“Trace has entered a treatment facility after a setback in his battle with alcoholism," confirms a rep for the singer. "As he faces these issues head-on, we ask that his family’s privacy will be respected.”

Adkins has had his share of issues in the past with alcohol, but he had been sober for 12 years after completing a 28-day stay in rehab back in 2002.
