Country Music may have the grandaddy of all American Festivals in the CMA Music Fest but Bluegrass has a pretty sweet festival held every year in Indiana, the Uncle Pen Days Festival. Read on to learn more about this year's festivities and the four day roster of stellar artists appearing at the event!
This year's inductee to the Bluegrass Hall Of Fame is George Shuffler, whose official induction will take place Saturday, September 21. Shuffler made his Grand Ole Opry debut at age 17 performing with The Bailey Brothers and toured with the Stanley Brothers for 20 years. He is known for his unique cross picking guitar style which has been influential to many musicians. George Shuffler received the North Carolina Heritage Award in 2007, and was inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall Of Fame in 2011.
