Country Chart News - The Top 30 Digital Singles: The Week of December 5, 2012: Florida Georgia Line Dominates; Taylor Swift Charts 3 Tracks

This week's Roughstock Top 30 Digital Country Singles chart doesn't contain any real surpises this week like last week's Cassadee Pope single but it does have three new arrivals (or returns) to the chart. Read on to see where this week's best-selling Country Music singles land!

Florida Georgia Line Recaptures #1 on Roughstock Top 30 Digital Singles Sales Chart while scoring the #1 hit on the Airplay Charts.

They just released Here’s To The Good Times. They’ve sold 1.2 million copies of “Cruise” and have the #1 single in America. The Here’s To The Good Times album is set to sell around 60,000 copies next week, making this the biggest week in Florida Georgia Line’s career, thus far.  Right behind them on this week’s sales chart are label mate The Band Perry with 281,000 singles sold. Taylor Swift is #3 with another 40,000 copies of top Pop hit “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” This gives the Big Machine Label Group the top 3 singles on this week’s chart. Hunter Hayes has a Top 40 pop hit now with “Wanted” which is helping the former #1 country single inch closer to Double Platinum and if it catches on enough at pop radio, this is a song destined to triple platinum or more.  Cassadee Pope’s “Over You” rounds out the Top 5 this week and has sold 191,000 singles in two weeks. With her performance of Rascal Flatts “Stand” a higlight of this week’s “The Voice” episode, look for that song to debut high here next week.

Gary Allan “Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)” Top 10.

With sales at 320,000, Gary Allan’s ‘comeback’ single “Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)” sits at #6 this week. The single is followed by former #1 single “Blown Away” from Carrie Underwood while Jason Aldean sits at #8 with “The Only Way I Know,” his latest hit which also features Eric Church and Luke Bryan. George Strait’s “Give It All We Got Tonight has now sold 65,000 copies in two weeks on the charts while Little Big Town’s “Tornado” has the #10 slot this week with 170,000 fans now having picked up this single.

Tim McGraw’s “One Of Those Nights” is Riser Of The Week.

Zac Brown Band’s latest Top 5 hit “Goodbye In Her Eyes” has now sold 203,000 copies while Randy Houser is Top 10 on the radio airplay chart and has now sold 266,000 copies of “How Country Feels,” the lead track from his upcoming album of the same name. Hunter Hayes’ “Somebody’s Heartbreak” is a fast-rising single on the airplay charts and while it’s likely to not have the same sort of sales numbers as “Wanted,” his breakout, superstar making hit single, look for it to have a long shelf life on this chart. Kacey Musgraves’ debut single “Merry Go ‘Round” continues to do well while Tim McGraw’s “One Of Those Nights” starts to catch on and returns to the Top 30. It’s this week’s “Riser of the Week.” Greg Bates joins the chart for the first time in a long time with “Did It For The Girl.” The newcomer’s Top 10 hit has now sold 181,000 singles.

Other songs of note are lead by Blake Shelton’s “Over,” a single which will be certified Gold for Digital sales of 500,000 copies soon. Thompson Square’s “If I Didn’t Have You” has moved 79,000 copies and is on the move back up the chart while Florida Georgia Line’s next single “Get Your Shine On” is right behind their song and has already sold 81,000 copies. Blake Shelton’s “Home” has sold 596,000 copies and given the re-write that Michael Buble did for it as a Christmas song (and it’s on  Cheers, It’s Christmas.), Blake Shelton now has a chance to sell a remarkable amount of copies of the tune.

Songs falling out of the Top 30 This Week:

  • Luke Bryan - “Drunk On You”
  • Jason Aldean - “Take A Little Ride”
  • Eric Church - “Springsteen”

New singles likely to debut next week:

  • Tracks from “Here’s To The Good Times” - Florida Georgia Line
  • Craig Campbell’s “Outta My Head” EP
