iTunes chooses Joey and Rory's Cheater Cheater as Free single of the week

Vanguard/Sugar Hill Records artist Joey+Rory will have the free single of the week for iTunes from October 14-21.  The free song is their rising hit single "Cheater Cheater," the debut single from their "The Life Of A Song" album.

NASHVILLE, TN – October 13, 2008 – Beginning tomorrow, iTunes will offer a free download of Joey+Rory’s debut single “Cheater Cheater” as part of their highly selective Single of the Week program for October 14-21. Co-written by Joey+Rory along with Kristy Osmunson and Wynn Varble, “Cheater Cheater” is the lead single from Joey+Rory’s debut album, The Life Of A Song, to be released by Vanguard/Sugar Hill Records on October 28th. Since its release to country radio, the track has enjoyed strong and immediate reactions, quickly breaking into the R&R/Aircheck and Mediabase, and gaining ground every week, currently moving up from 52 to 43.

Joey+Rory originally performed “Cheater Cheater” on CMT’s hit reality competition series Can You Duet, where the couple became finalists on the show and won fans with the authenticity and romance they bring to traditional country music. Joey+Rory’s “Cheater Cheater” video also premiered on CMT, where it reached the number one position at CMT Pure just two weeks after airing. It has been a consistent winner on Power Picks, the viewer voted show on CMT. Joey+Rory have also been chosen as the new faces of Overstock.com, starring in the online retailer’s fall 2008 national re-branding campaign, “At home with the O.” Spots were filmed on-site at Joey+Rory’s family restaurant and 1870’s farmhouse near Nashville, TN. Ad space was purchased nationally on over 25 networks including ABC, Fox, CMT, Lifetime, Bravo, Food Network, and more with projected impressions set at 1.8 billion.
