Trisha Yearwood - They Call it Fallin' For A Reason

It's very hard nowadays to get almost every fan of country music to agree on anything but they often cite Trisha Yearwood as one of the few mainstream artists worth listening to.

It's very hard nowadays to get almost every fan of country music to agree on anything but they often cite Trisha Yearwood as one of the few mainstream artists worth listening to. With one of the best singes of her career in "This Is Me You're Talking To" barely scraping the Top 25 on the charts, Big Machine and Trisha come back with the third single from "Heaven Heartache And The Power Of Love" in "They Call It Fallin' For A Reason."

And what a fine single it is. Written by superstar songwriter Matraca Berg, who's written some of Yearwood's best hits in the past (like "XXX's and OOO's" and "Everybody Knows") and the equally prolific Jim Collins, "They Call It Fallin' For A Reason" is one of the sharpest, tighly written songs to have been released this summer. The melody is infectious and the hook is is immediate. In fact, this song sounds like a cant-miss, roll-the-windows-down kind of driving song that Trisha has previously taken to the top of the charts.

While the first two singles from "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love" were artistic statements, "They Call It Fallin' For A Reason" is just a damn fun piece of ear-candy that might just get Trisha back in the Top 10 at country radio, where a talent like her should reside.
