Chalk another one up in the 'bound to happen' category as Kristy Lee Cook from the 2008 edition of American Idol has been signed by Sony/BMG and 19 Recordings to a record contract. Placed into the fold at the same Arista Nashville part of SBMG as Carrie Underwood, Cook no doubt has to be happy about her return to Arista Records. For those of you that don't know, Kristy Lee was signed to the label earlier this decade (before the current trend of female blondes dominating the charts). She'll release her first single, "Fifteen Minutes of Shame" in August. Her untitled album, currently being recorded by songwriter Brett James, is set for a fall/winter release (by AI Rules, it will come out AFTER the winner, David Cook's record does).
So, does she finally get to buy her horse back?
