Subject: "I'm Stoned" by Alabama

Personally, I don't think that Alabama should have cut this song.
It seems more like a song that the Rolling Stones would do.

I'm Stoned
Written by Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry
>From the album "Feels so Right"

Performed very slowly, with somewhat Bob Dylan overtones

(electric guitar intro)

Sittin' here and drinkin', hey, that's my favorite song
What's that that I hear ringin'? Would someone get the phone?
Wonderin' if she'll ever come home
I've had no sleep, sad songs, I'm stoned

Our love a fadin mem'ry as I chase another down
My eyes are gettin' heavy and my head's spinnin' 'round
Still wonderin' if she'll ever come home
I've had no sleep, sad songs, I'm stoned

Closing time, I drive for home not feelin' any pain
Thoughts of her drift back to me through the fallin' rain
Not caring if she ever comes home
I've had no sleep, sad songs, I'm stoned
I've had no sleep, sad songs, I'm stoned

Our love a fadin mem'ry as I chase another down
My eyes are gettin' heavy and my head's spinnin' 'round
Not caring if she ever comes home
I've had no sleep, sad songs, I'm stoned
