1. Can I submit lyrics ?

Yes, you can submit lyrics using our lyrics submission form. Please make sure that the lyric you are providing is not already in our database.

2. I sent you lyrics. Why weren't they added ?

Sample Question: I sent in lyrics to Johnny Cash – Walk the Line. Why wasn't it added?

Roughstock receives a vast amount of submissions daily. Therefore we have decided to handle each submission chronologically; in the order it is received. All submissions will be reviewed at one point. Please only submit once and please be patient while we process the lyrics.

3. How many lyrics does Roughstock provide ?

Adding lyrics daily, Roughstock is currently providing 7,400 lyrics from 2,495 artists.

4. Where can I find the latest lyrics & updates ?

In order to see the latest lyrics added to Roughstock you must visit the new lyrics page. The index shows the updates from the last seven days.

5. Where do I find this artist ?

Sample Question: I can't find any Jay-Z lyrics. Where are they?

Roughstock allows its viewer (member) to locate an artists' lyrics, by offering a few different methods. Using the search function located at the top of nearly every page; select which area you will be searching, type in the keywords and click search. Roughstock also allows the viewer to see new lyrics and browse through an alphabetical index, that you will see in various locations through-out the site.

6. Why do these lyrics have errors ?

Sample Question: The lyrics to the Mos Def song are seriously messed up. What's going on?

Roughstock has a huge collection of albums but we do not purchase every album that is release. Therefore leading to some errors that will slip by unnoticed as we can't prove them ourselves. If you wish to submit corrections please visit this page for a few guidelines on how to do so.

7. Can you send/email me lyrics ?

Sample Question: Can you email me the lyrics to Ja Rule – Holla Holla?

Lyrics will not be mailed out by request. You may browse through the alphabetical index or the new lyrics page for your lyric needs. Many browsers allow you to email the lyrics to yourself as attachments, you can do so by clicking the "Email this to a friend" button located in the ‘actions box' below every song lyric page. Please remember that Roughstock receives an abundant amount of requests each day and would be impossible for us to respond to all of them.

8. Can I search for lyrics ?

Yes, you may search for lyrics through a few different methods. Using the search function located at the top of nearly every page; select which area you will be searching, type in the keywords and click search. Roughstock also allows the viewer to see new lyrics and browse through an alphabetical index, that you will see in various locations through-out the site.

9. How can I print lyrics ?

When viewing a song's lyrics there will be an ‘actions box' located immediately preceding the last line of lyric. Click the "print" button and follow the instructions provided by your printer software. You may also use a word program and copy and paste the lyrics from Roughstock to your word processer and print.

10. May I use your lyrics on my site ?

Sample Question: I'm starting a Lupe Fiasco fansite, can I use all of your lyrics?

Roughstock and/or it's contributors to this site have spent a lot of time on maintaining it, so we ask that you credit Roughstock.com as the source for said lyrics.

11. Is there a fee for your lyrics ?

No, Roughstock's Lyric Database is a free service. However, all lyrics are for educational purpose only and aren't published to make money out of it.

12. What is the rm-bside album ?

Sample Question: I notice in almost every artist, there is a "rm-bside" album. What is that?

The "rm-bside" album is in fact, not an album. These are a compilation of remixes, b-sides, and solo artist songs that don't appear on their albums; or make appearances on soundtracks. They are included with the artists regular albums for your convenience.
