Tyler Farr Releases New Single From Debut "Redneck Crazy" Album
By: Alanna Conaway
After three singles -- one of them being the highly successful "Redneck Crazy" -- Tyler Farr is coming back swinging with a new hit on his hands. "Whiskey in My Water" is the album's latest single, and a song that is very special to the singer-songwriter who co-wrote the tune with Phillip Larue and Jon Ozier.
"This entire album has become like a kid to me," Farr tells Roughstock. "I'm very protective over it, and I love every song on there. I genuinely can say that. I picked the best and I did my best at picking not only the songs I thought were hits, but the right songs for my first album to represent me and for people to be able to see what it is I do ... the versatility of what I do and so forth."
"Redneck Crazy" helped open many door for Farr in the industry, and with the backing of his fans and peers, the sky's the limit for what his career holds in store in the coming year.
"I've been blessed with a lot of great friends," says Farr. "From management to my label and friends helping me out on the road -- Lee Brice, Jerrod Niemann, Colt Ford and the tour this fall with Florida Georgia Line ... I've been very fortunate and lucky to have a lot of these people in my life. That is what made 'Redneck Crazy' what it was. If it wasn't for the single, we wouldn't have had an album release. It's all kind of led us to this point. It will be an interesting next year. It will be a different world. I'm looking forward to see what will happen next. It's like a storybook!"
Farr's current chapter in his career story has him on the road opening for Florida Georgia Line on their Here's to the Good Times Tour. The trek will continue on into the winter months and also features Colt Ford. Listen for Farr's latest single, "Whiskey in My Water," at radio now.
