Who doesn’t like looking back at the year gone by and at some of the songs that shaped up that year?  With that in mind the editorial team at Roughstock has chosen their 40 favorite singles of the year.  We start the list with number forty and will count down, daily, our favorite singles of the year.  Here's our 38th favorite single: Keith Urban's "You Look Good In My Shirt."

With "You Look Good In My Shirt," Keith Urban not only successfully revisited a track from a six year-old album but he also scored another Number One Hit with it.  A long-time fan favroite, this song was re-recorded this year to reflect the evolution of his popular live show. Where a happy, little dittie once existed, urban has transformed the song into a sing-a-long morment for his fans with the vocalizing of some of the guitar fills.  Written by Mark Nesler, Tony Martin and Tom Shapiro, the lyrics are brought to life as well and they now reflect the new father's current happiness.

One of my favorites too! I've seen Keith play this live at his concerts and the fans go nuts! It truly is a fun song!

This was one of my favorite mainstream hits of the year. It shows that songs can be both fun and clever.
