Toby Keith - "Made In America"

With his status as one of America’s most patriotic artists, Toby Keith is always going to draw a ‘love it’ or ‘hate it’ stance with songs like “Made In America.” Sometimes, I think people dislike it because it’s Toby Keith singing a song with patriotic themes. Well, I’m not one of those people and immediately was drawn to this song the first time I heard it this morning.
“Made In America” is a song about a man (Toby’s old man) who is proud to be from his country and has a love for all things that are American Made. A proud purchaser of US-made automobiles and other goods, a veteran of the marines and a tough hardworking man of the sweat and dirt of farmland in the heartland, the man in the song is about true blue American Values of working hard.
Is this a sort of ‘list song’? Yes, it is but that’s OK because it works (they often do, despite some people’s resistance to them). The melody suits Toby Keith and with the strongly constructed lyrics (written by Toby, Bobby Pinson and Gregory Scott Reeves), it’s hard to see where “Made In America” can possibly fail as both a radio single, future video or as a fantastic lead-off of Toby’s upcoming album, likely to be titled - simply a guess here - “Made In America.”

I love this song! I heard it on the CMA's and then I absolutely fell in love! I like Toby a lot anyway, and his American pride. I have a second facebook with friends from all over the worl, and I posted this song (the whole thig was finished off in a comment) as my status. I got a ton of likes, and a ton of comments. Some comments were people being stupid. Others were from people OUT OF COUNTRY who said that they wished they had artists like Toby for their country. I can't get enough of this song and I think it deserves o be bought, not free downloadings.

Everyone who hates this song is about as ignorant as they come. Really?? This is the best song he's wrote since American Ride. He doesn't get the credit he deserves because he's Toby Keith. If this was Brad Paisley or Carrie Underwood (No offense to them, because I like them too) everyone would love this and would be Number 1 on the first week it was released. GREAT SONG!!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY? Why doesn't EVERYONE love this song?! This is what every american's mindset should be. I love Toby, I am proud to be from the United States of America. Toby speaks for me and about me and my family in this song. He isn't afraid to say what the main stream media doesn't want to report or support. But all that political junk aside, Toby has an awesome voice and a God given talent to sing and write songs. Love this song!
