There are four country singers left on NBC's talent program The Voice, Adam Levine's 19 year old team member Amber Carrington (who looks a LOT like Carrie Underwood) and Blake Shelton's three acts, The Swon Brothers, Holly Tucker and, for my money, the show's front-runner, 16 year old Danielle Bradberry.

Two weeks ago this old-soul wunderkind performed "Pam Tillis' "Maybe It Was Memphis" and last week performed the newer "Wasted" from Carrie Underwood, each time selling a boatload of singles.  Well, this week she performed JoDee Messina's "Heads Carolina, Tails California" and stole the stage while Holly Tucker opened the show with an appropriate cover of the hymn "How Great Thou Art" and the song served as a great song in support of the Oklahoma Tornados. The Swon Brothers sang a cover of "How Country Feels" and the duo, the first duo to make the Top 10, did an able cover of the tune though it's hard to match the vocal power of Randy Houser, nor was it as strong as their previous two week's songs "Fishin' In The Dark" and "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes."

Meanwhile, Adam's choice of "Breakaway" for Amber Carrington was a strong one for the pop/country teen but she really doesn't compare to Kelly Clarkson and showcased some shaky moments on the program.

Along with Danielle Bradberry, I'd say that Team Adam's pop/soul singer Sarah Simmons is the front runner for the show and her cover of Jessie J's song showed a big powerful side to her never before seen on The Voice. The other singers -- Judith Hill, Sasha Allen, josiah Howley, Kris Thomas, Michelle Chamuel -- all did ably but they're all staring in Sarah and Danielle's rearview mirrors.

If you want to support any of the singers, their tracks are available on iTunes.
