While she was shut out of any awards at the 42nd CMA Awards, Taylor Swift scored the "Favorite Female Vocalist, Country" award at last night's American Music Awards. Also winning on the ABC TV telecasted award show were Brad Paisley for "Favorite Female Vocalist, County," Rascal Flatts for "Favorite Country Group or Duo" and Carrie Underwood and her "Carnival Ride" album for "Favorite Country Album."

The big winners of the night were Chris Brown with three AMA's, Rihanna with two AMAs (for female artist pop and R&B) and Alicia Keys with a pair of awards as well.  Mariah Carey was given an Honorary Award for her successful career while tween favorites The Jonas Brothers were given the "T-Mobile Breathrough Act of the Year" award.
