Billboard announced today that Taylor Swift was their Top artist of 2009 and the notice serves as nice icing to top off the remarkable year she had in 2009.  Aside from having her two albums march near 10 million albums sold, she won 2 ACM, 4 BMI, 5 CMA Awards (including Entertainer of the Year), 5 AMA's, where she beat out Michael Jackson, and now this award.  In addition to winning this award, Taylor was obviously the #1 female of the year on Billboard, beating out Beyonce.  It's ironic that Kanye West was the #1 male artist of the year after his famous interruption of Taylor at the VMA's (in honor of Beyonce).
