Sugarland Settles Lawsuit With Former Member

Sugarland announced today that they have agreed to a private settlement to the lawsuit filed by founding member Kristen Hall.  The former member and the remaining duo of Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles agreed out of court to the settlement.

The original lawsuit had Hall seeking to be compensated for the then-trio's original agreement to share all profits or losses equally.  While Sugarland was gaining in popularity before Hall left the group, it was Kristian and Jennifer who really took Sugarland to the next level where they currently are; one of country music's best-selling and most popular acts.

The terms of the settlement weren't announced and chances are they never will be but Hall had been seeking $1.5 million in the case that was originally scheduled to begin today.

Sugarland's latest album The Incredible Machine was released this past October.  Their last single "Stuck Like Glue" hit #1 on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts last week and will be followed-up by "Little Miss."
