Single Review: Little Big Town - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

If any country band was destined to make great Christmas albums, it has to be the vocal quartet Little Big Town. While they’ve yet to release a full album, they have recorded a few great songs over the years like “Go Tell It On The Mountain” and now they’re back with another great song, their take on “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.”
The harmonies are spot on – as usual - and the quartet of Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Kimberly Schlapman and Philip Sweet simply sing the melody and while it’s ‘quiet’, it’s a beautifully performed ‘quiet’ and it is in that simplicity and elegance which the band shines the most. Hopefully this song is a big hit for them this holiday season while the quartet works on giving us a whole Christmas album for the 2012 season, I’d certainly be one of the first in line to buy it.
