Top News Stories of the Week for January 16 – January 21, 2012
This week we also brought you breaking news about the brand new Dolly Parton co-owned water and snow theme park set to bring an attractive destination back to the Opryland resort area where the Opryland theme park once resided. We also shared with you this week’s chart news which featured Lady Antebellum’s Own The Night at number one, the revelation of Rascal Flatts’ upcoming album Changed release date and cover art, along with news about the Top New Artist ACM Award semi-finalists. Lady Antebellum also went Platinum while Jake Owen had to have surgery to repair a broken collarbone suffered in a snowboarding accident. Finally, we shared with you our debut of the new weekly roundup of recently released radio singles. The feature has 10 new/recent singles along with links to reviews, audio or video of the songs.

Top Music Videos For January 16 – January 21, 2012
This week we saw the release of a number of videos from top and new stars alike. First, 90s country star Neal McCoy returns with “A-OK” the lead single to his soon to-be-released project for Blaster/Warner Brothers records. Then we saw the release of the video for Ronnie Dunn’s third radio single, “Let The Cowboy Rock.” Newcomers JJ Lawhorn, Rich O’Toole and Jon Wolfe released new videos while Chris Young and Mallary Hope delivered live performances of new tunes. Bluegrass/traditionalist upstarts The Roys came blazing out of the gate in 2012 with “Trailblazer” while Eli Young Band and country icon Alan Jackson released videos for “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” and “So You Don’t Have To Love Me Anymore.” Josh Kelley’s sweet “Naleigh Moon” rounded out the week while Emily West’s “I Hate You, I Love You, I Hate You Again” video from last week continued to bring viewers. This week is the first week with real new albums to share with y’all and it starts off with a bang with new albums from Tim McGraw and Kellie Pickler. These albums both earned rave reviews from our staff while two other recent releases, It All Happened In A Honky Tonk from Mark Cooke and Mark Wayne Glasmire from folk/country artist Mark Wayne Glasmire were featured as well.
