Roughstock Exclusive Video Premiere: O'Shea - "Old School"
By: Allen Jacobs

Known to most fans as one of the top duos on the second (final) season of CMT’s “Can You Duet,” Jay and Mark O’Shea have built up a loyal following in their Nashville home base with bi-weekly shows at the Blue Bar in Midtown. While using this venue, along with national support gigs with Phil Vassar, Sara Evans and the Oak Ridge Boys, O’Shea have tested new tunes before going into the studio with Mark Moffatt, an Australian producer who has worked with a multitude of artists over the years (and has been Nashville-based since 1996).
“Old School” is one of the new songs recorded during these sessions with Mark Moffatt and it has become O’Shea’s lead single in their native country of Australia. We’re proud to offer fans outside of Australia an exclusive look at the new music video for “Old School."

That is a fun pop-country song and I like the fact the production is not overly bombastic. All of those costumes and the people/characters they are trying to mimic is a fun touch. Jay O'Shea is definitely one of the naturally prettiest gals working in Nashville today! Crikey! Will the CMT and GAC tyoes consider the Adam & Eve garb too risque? I sure hope not! Too bad they aren't being backed by a big label as they've got the talent to succeed. I like these two a whole lot better than Steel Magnolia!

I liked the lyrics and tones but there were parts in the video that looked too fake with lip singing. Not all of it was bad, just a few places. I loved the outfits. I would love hearing this on the radio. You wouldn't be able to see the parts that look to much like lip singing. But, on a postivie note. I really do like the song.
