After their last record label closed, people were quick to want to write-off Rascal Flatts as the latest ‘has been’ group for country radio but after teaming up with Big Machine Records, the award-winning trio has seemed refreshed and revitalized. Jay, Jo Don and Gary have scored a couple #1 hits in “Why Wait” and “I Won’t Let Go.” Their album Nothing Like This has sold well over Gold (500,000 copies) and is nearly Platinum (1 million copies).  So rather than be the ‘old news’ that many pundits thought (or hoped?) they would be, Rascal Flatts has remained a top country band and has now added another Gold-selling single in their career.

“I Won’t Let Go” was certified by the RIAA for selling 500,000 digital singles and it becomes Rascal Flatts first Gold or platinum digital single since 2006’s “My Wish” was certified in January of 2009. It is the trio’s sixth certified digital single.  The band has also been laying to sold-out shows throughout the United States.

Kyle, the song peak at #2 on Billboard. But, it is #1 on USA Today/Country AirCheck powered by Mediabase chart. And the song has sold over GOLD a lot nearly platinum now! Their three songs, "What Hurts The Most", "Life Is A Highway" and "Bless The Broken Road" are all sell over 2 million! But I don't know why they don't update the certifications.

"I Won't Let Go" didn't go number one on the country chart. It only peaked at number two.
