Josh Turner traveled to Scotty McCreery’s hometown of Garner, N.C., on Saturday to surprise the American Idol finalist at his hometown celebration in front of over 30,000 fans. McCreery performed a few songs for the thousands of screaming fans before he sang his self-proclaimed “theme song,” “Your Man”.

Just as he was getting started, Turner walked on to the stage, completely shocking the American Idol finalist. A stunned McCreery and Turner performed “Your Man” followed by what McCreery says is his “favorite song of all time” - “Long Black Train.

“I think he was surprised,” laughs Josh Turner. “He didn’t see me until we were almost face-to-face. I think I almost gave him a heart attack.”

Seventeen-year-old Scotty McCreery chose Josh Turner’s No. 1 hit “Your Man” to be his ticket to Hollywood during the initial American Idol auditions in Milwaukee, WI. Since then, the deep-voiced Scotty, a student at Garner High School in Garner, N.C., has performed two of Turner’s songs on the show, including "Long Black Train."
