Jamie Lynn Spears Working on a Country Music Career?

According to E! Online, teen actress and sister to pop music icon Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn Spears is working on a Country music career. While people are right to be skeptical about the prospects of a sustained career in the genre, Jamie Lynn likely has a good shot at not only getting signed but delivering an album to the market place. With her celebrity already cemented thanks to a starring turn on tween TV shows like Zoey 101," Jamie Lynn certainly will have labels interested.
While it remains to be seen what the end product will be, it's sure to have traditionalist fans reeling and pop fans, particularly those who already like Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, the Carter Twins and other young-leaning acts, ready for more. What say you? Are you ready for another 'crossover' attempt from someone who is 'Hollywood' or are you tired of it all?

With Jaime Lynn getting into the country act, can Britney be far behind? Just what country music needs, another young blonde pop-tart. Its too bad Heidi Newfield (and Kirsty Lee Akers down under) have already recorded "Knocked Up" as it would have been the perfect debut single for Jamie Lynn! Just bad timing I guess.....
