Let’s get this out of the way immediately. Yes, Gloriana is going to be compared to Little Big Town. That’s inevitable. They are also likely be compared to Lady Antebellum. And while these comparisons are true, the foursome of brothers Tom and Mike Gossin (vocals/guitar), Rachel Reinart (vocals) and former Epic artist Cheyenne Kimball (Vocals/mandolin)—She also won 2002’s “America’s Most Talented Kid” competition. Signed to Emblem Records, the quartet has released this single, “Wild At Heart” to country radio. Produced by Matt Serletic —Matchbox Twenty’s producer/business partner and Owner/President of the quartet’s label— “Wild At Heart” is as catchy as anything you’re likely to listen to this year.
From the Mellencamp-like hand-claps opening up the track to the impeccable vocal harmony on the chorus, this song just smells and sounds like a hit; but that ‘hit-factor’ doesn’t kick in to full effect until we hit that chorus, where Gloriana’s four-part harmony (a la Fleetwood Mac or Little Big Town) ties everything together. From then on this song is a cascade of modern pop production mixed with country instruments like banjo, acoustic guitar, fiddle and mandolin. It’s easy to like songs like this, even if the lyrics don’t really say too much in the way of insightful messages, we all need and like to hear feel-good songs every once in a while. 2008 saw the Zac Brown Band score with a year-long summery fun hit and nothing should stop this single from becoming the big hit that it is likely destined to be.
The single can be purchased here.

SamiJo, its the fact that this song is so rock-pop oriented which explains why it is doing well on the charts thus far. Taylor Swift has picked them to be one of her opening tour acts and they are perfectly suited to Taylor's audience since most of them don't know what real country music is or even care to find out. Pop-rock is the direction modern/young country music is trending and its acts like Gloriana that are at the leading edge...

if Gloriana wants to make it in country music i suggest they make their music more country instead of on the rock-pop side of things. From my perspective not many in the country music sing real country music anymore and thats what us country fans would like to see... >3 love country music 4 ever!!!!
