With two highly praised duets the last two years from Gene Watson and Rhonda Vincent (“Together Again” and “Staying Together”), today Gene Watson and Upper Management Music announced that they’ve partnered together for a new record label deal.  Upper Management Music is the label Rhonda Vincent started in 2010 to release her own recordings after years with Rounder Records.  Watson’s last two albums were released via the Shanachie label. 

The first project for Gene will be a duets project with Miss Vincent herself.  The album will feature the “Queen of Bluegrass” and “the King of Country Soul” and will be an album in the tradition of Conway and Loretta, with strict parameters metering only traditional country music songs for the project. 

"The response to our initial discussions of this project are not only positive but inspiring," says Herb Sandker, Upper Management President. "The excitement is instantly visible. There hasn't been an artist in the last 20 years make a record like we're making with Gene and Rhonda. It's not just any other project. It's healing for the country music community!"

The first single will be released in May of 2011.
