Eric Church - "Drink In My Hand"
By: Matt Bjorke
Gold albums? Check. Gold and Platinum selling singles? Check. 200,000 copies of Chief sold in two weeks at retail? Check.
When checking off a list to see if fans like what they hear, it’s pretty damn clear that the fans like what Eric Church is doing and it’s high time that the gatekeepers at country radio make Eric Church one of the top airplay artists too.
After all, isn't good for their stations to play what fans want to hear? Especially, that core young [18-34] demographics that bring the most advertising revenue love, love, love Eric Church, particularly his party anthems.
“Drink In My Hand” is one such anthem. With guitars that drive a familiar melody, the song is downright perfect as the theme song to a fun weekend. And isn’t that the point of music anyway, to entertain and/or move us?
Well, folks. That’s what “Drink In My Hand” does. It truly feels like a monster hit. The first of what should be many #1 hits from Eric Church, country music’s newest big star.
It really is simple. . It’s now time for country radio to follow through on their end and play the hell out of Eric Church’s second single from Chief. “Drink In My Hand” is that single.

Great review. You should have reviewed the album too instead of that clown colleague of yours, Dan McIntosh. At least someone on your staff gives EC the credit he deserves.

Thank you. Someone at Roughstock understands how awesome Church is. Unlike Dan McIntosh, who gives his cd a crap review.
