After selling 1.2 million last week, Taylor sells 300k more while the CMA Awards helped Country Music artists land 15 of the top 50 albums! Toby Keith Debuts in SoundScan Top 200 Top 10 with Hope On The Rocks

Taylor Swift still dominates the charts with her cross-over RED album now nearly 1.6 million sold in just two weeks. Jason Aldean’s Night Train is next on our rundown of the Top Country Albums chart with sales just under 600,000. Toby Keith’s Hope On The Rocks debuts at #3 on our country tally with nearly 50,000 copies sold. Little Big Town’s Tornado rises thanks to CMA Awards, giving Country music 4 of the Top 10 albums in the USA with sales now  over 323,000. Luke Bryan rounds out the Top 5 with Tailgates & Tanlines now at 1.53 million sold.

Carrie Underwood Blown Away Leads Second Half of Top 10 with Hunter, The Chief, Scotty and Lady Antebellum.

With Blown Away at #12, country music has six of the Top 12 albums in America this week, that’s 50%. Eric Church’s Chief gives country music 7 of the Top 13 albums while Lady Antebellum gives country music 8 of the Top 15 albums with On This Winter’s Night. Scotty McCreery’s Christmas With Scotty is next and thanks to nearly 90,000 Rod Stewart fans, Scotty’s Christmas album is no longer the best-selling record of the 2012 holiday shopping season (but it still could end up being that). Hunter Hayes rounds out the Top 10 with the CMA Best New Artist’s self-titled debut album now at 329,000 sold.

Blake Shelton, Zac Brown, Pistol Annies Among Notable Albums.

Blake Shelton’s two most-recent records, Cheers, It’s Christmas and Red River Blue sit in the Top 30 this week where he’s also joined by wife Miranda Lambert’s Four The Record, her band The Pistol Annies Hell On Heels, Kenny Chesney’s Welcome To The Fishbowl, Zac Brown Band’s Uncaged (which has sold nearly 600,000 so far), and Scotty McCreery’s QVC Bundle which moved 5,000 copies of his holiday, debut album and other stuff from QVC.

There are no new notable album releases this coming week but we’ll see if the CMA Awards will impact sales again. As always check here to find out!
