Christmas Albums Dominate Top 5, which still is lead by Taylor Swift’s Double-Platinum “Red” album.

Taylor Swift once again is #1 with Red but she’s once-again followed by Christmas albums this week as they take positions #2-#4 on this week’s chart while all of them also surpassed the 200,000 sales mark. Lady Antebellum’s On This Winter’s Night sold 59,000 copies and is the best-selling Country Christmas collection of the year so far while Blake Shelton’s “Cheers, It’s Christmas” is next with sales of 53,000 copies. Scotty McCreery’s Christmas With Scotty McCreery is the #4 best-selling country record this week. It’s possible that as we’re 3 weeks out of Christmas (3 more sales weeks by the holiday) that we’ll find sales #s that could give us three Gold-scanning albums (as all three records have likely sold 500,000 copies or more to stores). All likely will be perpetual big sellers during the holiday season, not unlike Michael Buble and and Josh Groban’s recent Yuletide releases. Jason Aldean’s Night Train rounds out the Top 5 this week with “Night Train” and has now sold 826,000 copies of the record thus far.

Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away” Sits at #6 this week, Little Big Town and Hunter Hayes Inside Top 10 as well.

Carrie Underwood’s BLown Away has now scanned over 1.036 million copies while Little Big Town’s Tornado has now nearly scanned 500,000 copies. Luke Bryan’s Tailgates & Tanlines has moved 1.618 million copies while Hunter Hayes’ just Gold-certified (for shipments of 500k or more) id now only 104,000 copies scanned away from that mark.  Eric Church has moved 1.2 million copies of 2012 CMA Album of the Year Chief. That album rounds out our Top 10 this week.

Zac Brown Band “Uncaged” leads notable Albums this week

With 635k copies sold, Zac Brown Band’s latest Uncaged leads our notables this week, followed by The Very Special Christmas 25 album. Hope On The Rocks from Toby Keith is next with 113k sold thus far. Blake Shelton’s Red River Blue follows with 837,000 copies sold while Changed From Rascal Flatts rounds out our rundown and is under 100,000 copies scanned away from Gold (though it’s already or nearly certified Gold for shipments to stores of 500,000 plus copies). Another notable album is Willie Nelson’s Heroes colleciton. The record features “Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die” and has now sold over 83,000 copies without any radio airplay. Jamey Johnson’s sold nearly 70,000 copies of Livin For A Song and Dwight Yoakam’s 3 Pears  has moved nearly 60,000 copies. Uncle Kracker’s Midnight special has moved 7,000 copies in two weeks.

Next week will see the arrival of Florida Georgia Line with Here’s To The Good Times and sales projections are anywhere from 55-75k sold the first week, which will likely not allow them to have the #1 album with Taylor Swift’s Red selling well but should give the Republic Nashville duo behind “Cruise” the #2 album and a great start to their still growing career.
