Blake Shelton - "All About Tonight"
By: Matt Bjorke

If you are looking for another Blake Shelton song like “Home” or “Austin” or “Goodbye Time” well you best move along as “All About Tonight” is neither of these songs and it’s not eve “Hillbilly Bone” either. “All About Tonight” can be summed up in this phrase: “Tomorrow can wait for tomorrow, it’s all about tonight.” The melody moves and shakes as one might expect a song with those two lines to move and shake and you know what? That’s perfectly OK as the true marker of a good to great song is that it makes you feel something. And “All About Tonight” clearly makes me feel like going out with my friends and enjoying “good times and good music, dancin’ and grooving to the band.”
Even if “All About Tonight” isn’t a ‘deep’ song, it has that southern rock melody mixed with a good time joe attitude that clearly makes “All About Tonight” one of the most obvious hit singles of Blake Shelton’s career to date. Written by the same guys who wrote “Barefoot and Crazy” and Joe Nichols “Gimme That Girl,” (Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson, Ben Hayslip), “All About Tonight” is the kind of no nonsense, unpretentious kind of song that clearly sounds good coming out of radio speakers and I have a suspicion that it will become one of 2010’s Baseball stadium anthems as well.
With Blake Shelton’s career clearly moving to another level at radio, he’s released the perfect summer anthem and, there’s absolutely, positively no way possible that “All About Tonight” isn’t a hit.
