Billy Currington - Don't

Billy Currington didn't fare with his last single "Tangled Up." Working from his forthcoming Little Bit of Everything album, the Georgia native offers up "Don't," a plea for reconciliation. Currington's solutions for the relationship at odds in the song are to "crawl back into bed." The song may work as often as the prescribed strategy does - few and far between. Instead, overdone vocals and prolonged cadences make this record feel less convincing and more about the guilty party than the lover headed out the door.

Actually Don't is one of my favorites songs out there today and truly enjoy the old fashioned way this song is handled. Billy Currington has a wonderful voice and it's a nice mix and change for today's country music style; in my view. Just saw the video for Don't and enjoyed it as well. Walk A Little Straighter Daddy was a telltale for me and many; I've Got A Feeling is one of the bvliest videos and songs I have ever been taken with and I gotta have some Alan and George in my life. To me, Billy Currington can sing; and he would have fit in perfectly in the older country music days when the country dance was part of the romance. Thanks for letting me comment.
