The pace of this song is a bit too slow and the melody is the same old, same old. I can see how Todd could make it in Texas but would have trouble outside the Lone Star State. To be vital newly minted traditional country songs need to bring something new to the table, and this one doesn't. Rodney Hayden and Aaron Watson are far more skilled male practitioners of this type of music.
