There is no such thing as a neutral education process. Education either functions as an instrument that is used to facilitate the integration of the younger generation into the logic of the present system and bring about conformity on it thanks for sharing. Regards, Jack - Blackjack

Awesome song!!! Again Shawna Russell has proven to be a true artist with obviously much as of yet untapped talent! The haunting intro, combined with the powerful vocals, accentuates the beautiful lyrics making this an all around great song by a great artist. Makes me excitedly wonder what else does Shawna have to give us!!!!!

Rick I agree that by definition the song by shawna is not really country, but it is right up there with the other not really country that is called the top 40 of country music.Other than George Strait and a few other artists in the top 40 there aren't many that would be considered country if you compare all with Bob Wills. Rick you are stuck in the 40's and 50's as far as what country used to be. By today's standards what you hear on radio is considered country. Rick listen to the radio and let me know how many Bob Wills types you hear.Shawna has a great voice and the song Rumors is a hit in the making and should be on the radio, at least my radio, you can see if your radio will tune in the 40's and 50's so you can be happy.

Rick, "Oklahoma Hills" and Bob Wills both sadly would not play on Country Radio today. What passes for Country is what most artists - including Shawna - are doing; music that is more rooted in Rock and Pop with some Country instrumentation. If you took every artist to task who is making music like this today, there would be almost nothing left on "Country radio." Shawna is a real talent, unlike some of what passes for artists now. I agree with "Musixmylife," why don't you give Shawna a break and find someone else to focus your negative attention on? You seem to go out of your way to attack her at every opportunity; I think you must secretly like her. And, by the way - I see you post negative comment after negative comment on this, and other music websites, about MOST of the music that you "review" - and I am wondering: just want are your credentials as a music critic? We would ALL love to hear your answer to that question.

Rick for some reason you're a Shawna hater. I've checked all of the posts and you have some smart-ass remark about all of them. Based on results this song is LIGHTING UP not only the internet BUT the airwaves. Her last song you hated went in to the top 40 on Music Row and hit the Billboard New and Active chart so did the one you hated before that. Get the chip off of your shoulder and quit trying to run down the hardest working female act in country music. I must ask.. have YOU ever done anything that good? I'm guessing not.. get a life.

I like Shawna but no so much her music. I'd love to hear her sing a real country song with just acoustic backing as her forced vocal style and pounding rock production just don't work for me. Shawna and Kate Russell both shoot for the same rockin/non-country "Pink Dirt" market segment that doesn't exist at Top 40 country radio outside of Oklahoma and Texas! She needs to add "Oklahoma Hills" to her set list until the concept of what real country music is sinks in. A crash course in Bob Wills music wouldn't hurt either....
