I love her version of "Mississippi's Cryin" the best! I've heard Emily West and one other girl sing it and there is NO comparison. I don't think it matters if someone else already sang it. She obviously sang it the best since her version is on the radio. Beautiful voice :) She has REAL talent. Hope to hear more from her!

Jessica/Ryan (whoever you are) - why you gotta be such a hater? Emily never released it as a single, so it's fair game and not just Margaret "releasing a cover". Songs are recorded by multiple artists ALL the time. And if you've ever heard Margaret live, you'd know that auto-tune is NOT necessary. Margaret is truly a gifted singer. Emily is amazing, too, and I hope she gets her shot, but this page isn't about her. Go Margaret!

Emily West sings this much better. Get your own songs and stop releasing covers.

Emily West's version is much better. I hope to never here Miss Marg sing this song again :) Nice try, but there is really no comparison. Can we say auto-tune, Marg?

This little gal is a powerhouse. She has the pipes and totally owns this song. Yeah, she's got what it takes - an insane amount of talent. I'm a new fan.

This girl's range is amazing! and so much emotion too! I've watched some of her performances on youtube and I think she's got a big future. Not only will she be able to make it in country music, but I also see her drawing fans from both pop and soul.

Great, strong voice voice, very clear vocal -- how old is she? She sounds older than she looks.

This is such a powerful song. Margaret sings this beautifully. Good to hear some serious music being performed by a young new artist, for a change. I think Margaret will do really well.

I agree with Jeff that I prefer Emily West's slightly over wrought version in comparison. Margaret is a fine technical singer but I'm not sure she is unique enough to score any interest at country radio as opening slots for new female solo artists are few and far between. I'd much rather see Sunny Sweeney get the Top 40 welcome mat than Margaret at this point.
