jamey is amazing, he has had many hits and does not get the credit he deserves but i believe he will be a legend, he is not mainstream like most, because it is real country music, and its sad to say it but real country music is not what they want to play on the radio, and in my opinion hank 3 is extremely talented and why compare the two, they both produce a great sound for country fans, so why not leave it at that?

I think Jamey is one of the greatest country music singers ever. He is so REAL and down to earth, everything he writes and sings is totally from his heart and you can feel it in his voice and see it in his eyes. Saw him LIVE & he was great!! Love his new song & can't wait for the album.I've just about quit listening to country radio because they all need to be called pop radio. Jamey keep up the good work - we'll keep listening & buying your cds.

It's right! When Jamey sings I found myself FEELING the whole thing. He makes me think of all the things I love about myself, as well as, all the things I hate about myself. This song hits the mark for me. It may not get the play time, but it's real. Anymore who cares if mainstream gets it. It would only get drowned out by all the so called country singers and their weak, meaningless noise. Just go see him it will be sold out and he WILL touch you with his proformance.

I love the song and lyrics. I think the music drowns out his voice and his voice is the best part that is my only disapointment of the song I cant wait to see him again in 2 weeks. His music is the best I just hope his music never changes. If you have never seen him in concert you have got to. He is amazing!

Jamey may have similarities with the outlaws, but I think he's in a class by himself and should be judged that way. He seems beyond caring what the establishment thinks of him or does for him and is just about making his art his way. His singing style may invoke Hank Jr., but his songwriting is in a league with Hank Sr. "My Way to You" is a song that gets more amazing everytime I hear it. The beginning and end are a bit overproduced for my tastes, but the lyrics and melody more than compensate. It's an instant country classic. I hope he never answers the "you" mystery. That debate will make the song legendary. (Although, I'm choose to believe he's singing about God and his personal path to peace.) Radio may not appreciate him, but the man is a country music lover's treasure. I'm glad we have him.

The new song is awesome!!! everybodys got there own opinion on what "you" means in the song.. I may be wrong but I think this is jameys version of waylons belle of the ball.. I read that the belle of the ball is country music itself when he leads u to believe he is talkin bout jessie.. so by jamey sayin im tryin to find my way to you is him tryin to find his way to his fans through country music.. and does anybody knw if theres video anywere of the song macon? i heard its a good un.

agree 100 %..His sister Holly Williams is way more talented and more country than he will ever be..and she is very easy on the eyes too...Hank III's music sounds like somebody threw a parrot with a dirty mouth and a banjo in a blender and hit the button...

Ever since I heard Jamey, I have had nothin but respect and admiration for the way he portrays his life through his music. Very seldom these days do you here that much heart and history in someones songs....Jamey You are an icon in my favor....Songs like High Cost, and Angel, and the new one not only rlates to your life and past but mine as well...Right now I'm on a path that will introduce me to you before to long...Much respect from Bloody Harlan Ky....Theres as much history here as there is in the coal mines....You have been a star here for quite some time now...Keep writin man...We're listening

Hank3 fan needs to realize that Nashville Radio DOES NOT Play this song nor did it play High Cost of Living. Jamey makes it on talent alone and a great fan base/following. Not because of anything Nashville Radio does.

When I first heard this song it sounded almost like a love song..almost..but the more I listen to it and pay close attention to the lyrics is sounds more to me that it is Jamey's story of trying to find his way in the music business and life in general and life on the road to be finally able to find his way to us..the fans anfd to reach us with the kind of country music the running through his veins and burning in his soul and to be able to share it with those who are searching for that musical connection in country music without it being watered down or altered by the powers that be in Nashville..Thats just my take on the song..I love to eerie old school steel guitar in the intro, very cool.. I'm also wondering what Jamey is saying under his breath near the end of the song, cant make it out..Cant wait for the album..I will be buying the old school vinyl record as well..I like cranking up the ole'record player occasionally..Thats the best way to listen to country music.

h4nk3f4n -- Who says you can be a Jamey Johnson fan and NOT a Hank 3 fan at the same time?? Don't hate because an outlaw finally found success on radio. It's a vicious cycle. You hate radio, so you want to support guys who defy the system. But they can't be successful unless people know about them. So they need radio play. Then they make it, and you criticize them. This is one time where the "Nashville machine" just couldn't turn down an outlaw. Because he's THAT good. JJ's fan's hate the Nash machine just as much as you. You should step back and look at what you're really trying to support. Is it quality country music or an outlaw image? Been to several hank3 shows and support him most def, but the average person who listens to country music radio isn't going to hear about these guys unless they are played and we RE-TAKE the market.

I emailed the kiss country station in Ashville,NC this morning asking the morning dj to play the new song by Jamey since I heard them play it last week and told him that I know Jameys sound is kinda old school country but a refreshing sound and not the cookie cutter stuff that nashville seems to be trying to force down our country loving throats. I said that there are a lot of 40 somethings out there like me who want to hear something other than bubble gum so called country music like Taylor Swift and Kelley Pickler every 5 mins or if its not that its the same old burned out songs from 90's artists like Garth or Shaniah etc..and as soon as I hit send..Taylor Swift started playing followed by Garth and then a couple songs later..you guessed it Kelly pickler..Talk about predictable..Man these Radio stations suck!!! Like Waylon said..Maybe it time to get back to the basics of life or in this case...Real country music..and Jameys as real as it gets...from heartaches and hard times to bar rooms and high times thats what country music is about..life in general..and thats what he brings out in his music even more so when he hits the stage...I just hope the radio stations stand up and listen to the fans for a change.

h4nk3f4n says: "How about all of you that claim to be outlaw country lovers check out some Hank III..." In 1996, mounting child support payments led Williams to capitalize on his family name and sign a contract with Nashville, Tennessee, music industry giant Curb Records. Three Hanks: Men With Broken Hearts was issued shortly thereafter, which spliced together recordings to make it seem that three generations of Williams men were singing alongside one another. So who's worst h4nk3f4n? Someone who played the game or someone trying to live off there grandfathers name.

Thanks for putting Jameys new song on here..This is a hell of a song for a hell of a telented song writer..I have met the man in person and seen him live 4 times this year and one thing I can say about Jamey is you get your moneys worth and then some..He is as humble and genuine as they come and as far as country music legends go..he will surpass all outlaw greats.Anyone who has any dounts after listening to either of his cds just needs to see him once in a smoke filled bar and as the song "redneck side of me" goes in the morning light with your shades on and your head on ice and you'll know you've seen the red neck side of Jamey Johnson and you'll be looking online for the next show!

Love the new song from JJ. If you have not seen this man in concert you are missing out. If you have not had a "IN COlOR" experience then you need one. This man has a god given true talent. I have listened to country music and ths man has the raw talent of country music and is bringing country music back to where it needs to be. There are great artist out there and great music but I must say I basically was calling it quits with radio because they were wearing out everything and it is the same ole thing. Then comes along this man and I just can not get enough of him. He will go down as one of the greats fro country music. When you have other artists that have been around along time in the music industry say that he is the "Real dealand he has talent pooring out of him" I would think you would stop and listen. Those that sit up there and get paid the bigs bucks to make such "GREAT DESICIONS" have gotten away from the real country sound and the meaning of country music. JJ has it all and he will go all the way to the top and he will bring it all back to us there is no doubt about it. spending money at one of his shows was the best thing I ever did to go see a show. The man can "SING". Go gettem JJ. You have earned everything that has come your way and everythinig ready to come your way. Take it to the top because we are right behind you and we are going to take that ride with you! Thanks for the music keep it coming! the new song is "GREAT"!!

When Jamey's first album came out i had the chills because he reminded me so much of Hank, Kris and Waylon and all the other rebels of country music and his music is so old school sounding and the lyrics where incredible. Now he comes out with this new "BOMB of a song" this really goes to show you how talented he really is and that he belongs at the top and deserves to have his name spoken amongst the great outlaws of country music

All of you deditcated Hank III and Dale watston fans have been waiting for the day radio gives theses guys a little respect. And they deserve some of it. But the bottom line there songs cannot hold jamey johnsons jock strap. Every time I get on here the only people bashing Johnson are usually Dale Watson fans. Shamful that they putdown such great music because of the failed success of there hero. Sorry guys, when Whispering Bill compares Johnson to Hank, that carrys some respect and a lot of wieght. Just sit back and be happy that REAL country music is trying to make a comback. Blame Radio for your artist failures not Johnson.

All of that electric guitar solo stuff seems really out of place on this song and really mucks it up. I don't know who's production choice that was, but I think it's a mistake. It sounds like Keith Urban walked in the studio during the recording and decided to hot dog a bit. Other than that I like the song but don't see it getting very far at AirHead country radio. HankFan, Jamey can at least get Top 40 mainstream country radio airplay while Hank III, Dale Watson, and Steve Earle are relegated to Americana and XM/Sirius radio. Jamey's label wants him to sell a lot of music, and Top 40 is where the buyers are at. That's just the way it goes...

Bla bla bla outlaw, schmoutlaw, I think Mr. Johnson is quite likely just a pasty for the Nash-Vegas machine and you're all getting suckered in. Only time will truly tell and I really do hope that I'm wrong because he seems to have some talent as opposed to the majority of the singers on the radio nowadays. How about all of you that claim to be outlaw country lovers check out some Hank III, Dale Watson or Steve Earle. I mean to tell the truth if you are hearing JJ on the radio that means you are feeding the Nash-Vegas machine just like the fans that think Kenny Chesney is a real country music performer. I don't think it will do as well on country radio as it deserves. You can hear it in his voice that he's singing from experience. That emotional connection takes a good song and makes it one of the best of the year.
